Let's do some simple calculations here.
In Malaysia , the average family income is RM3,000 /month
(where father works, mother doesn't).
I understand there are many families whose
monthly income does not reach RM3,000,
but, to make things simple,
let's take RM3,000 as the figure. Ok lah, right?
Okay, let's start rolling with a family which has
Papa, Mama, 1 daughter and 1 son. Ngam-ngam .... *I have 7 members in my family included me*
Calculation starts...
Electricity and water bill: RM100
(No air-con, No home theatre, No water heater ... ok?) *We have 3 air-conds, ok? =.="*
Phone bill ( Telekom): RM100
*This is not so enough la for my family...have plus in hand phone bills(4 maxis number holders & 1 digi number) and streamyx too*
Meals for a happy family: RM775
(3 meals on RM25/day, RM25 for 4 persons...?)
*The price of a pack of rice increased hell lots. Remember! we have 7 members in a family*
Papa makan / teh-tarik during working hrs: RM155
(RM5/day, RM5 ... can eat what?)
*Besides dad, still have mom and sisters go for breakfast every morning. Should be RM 20 per day or more? Sometimes, I want to buy tokiwado and kaya ball during shopping time too..*
Car repayment: RM400
(A proton saga aeroback, 7 yrs repayment)
*We have two cars, ok? still have 5 yrs repayment for Honda and 6 yrs for Myvi*
Petrol (living in city, traffic-jam): RM300
(go to work, bring son to school,
only can afford one car running) *No! Dad went to work at Pending with Myvi and Mom bring sisters to sch with Honda. Younger sis in the morning session and youngest sis in the afternoon session. Drove eldest sister to work some more. Price oil increased HELL LOTS. I think full tank for Honda is about Rm 80 - 90 and myvi is about Rm 70? Not so sure..*
Insurance: RM650
(kids, wife and myself) *Err...I dunno about this? Have to ask parent about it*
House repayment: RM750
(low cost housing repayment for 30 yrs,
retired still have to work to pay!) *repayment done! yrs ago*
Tuition: RM80
(got that cheap meh? i don't think so) *Lilian got add maths and bm tuition. Total up = Rm 130*
Older children pocket money @ school: RM20
(RM1/day, eat bread?) *Two sisters and me are working already. That's mean no pocket money for us. So left two younger sisters who still needs pocket money. Rm 2/day. 2 sis = Rm 4/day. Rm 80/month?*
School fees: RM30
(enough ah?) *where got that cheap? is about Rm 100+ per year*
School books and etc: RM100
(always got extra to pay in school) *Text books are provided by the gov now. So, save on this. But sisters still need extra revision books.*
Younger children milk powder: RM50
(cannot have the DHA, BHA, PHA one, expensive) *We don't need milk powder anymore. haha..But we drank imported fresh milk. It ain't cheap, ok?*
Miscellaneous: RM100
(shampoo, rice, sauce, toilet paper) *Besides that, we still need colgates, facial foam, soaps, detergents, fruits, coffee and tea, juices, canned foods, panadols, etc.*
Oh wait!!! I have to stop here, so...
No Astro, *We have ASTRO. mini and dynasty packages*
no movie @ cinema, *Ahh..i don't go for movie. So, save on this*
no DVD, *We do have dvd player but we don't buy any dvd outside. We download by ourselves/borrowed from friends*
no CD, *We have cd. We downloaded songs from the website and burnt into cd. But we still need to purchase empty cd, right?*
no online, *We have streamyx. Package Rm 77 per month*
cannot KFC, *Ahh..we went there once in a while only. So saved....*
cannot McDonald, *We went there just to buy McFlurry only.*
cannot go Park walk during weekend (petrol expensive), *We walked to the park. So, saved..*
no chit chat on phone with grandparents, and etc... *Seldom chit-chatting on the phone. Mostly mom.*
Let's use a calculator to total up... WALAO EH! Shit! RM3,610 already... *For medium-sized family like us, are more than this amount.*
EPF belum potong, income tax lagi........oledi RM3,610 ....
How to survive lah tuan-tuan dan puan-puan sekalian ???
Our Deputy Prime Minister asked us to change lifestyle?
How to change? Don't eat? Don't work? Don't send children to school and study?
Besides that, I believe in Malaysia population, there are millions of rakyat Malaysia which still don't earn RM3,000/month!!!
What is this? Inilah Malaysia Boleh... Sorry .... it should be Malaysians Boleh , because we're still alive and kicking!!
Our politicians must be mad!!!
So...THIS IS THE TRUE FACT. I thought Malaysia is part of developing countries? Now, inflations are happening soon. What will going to happen to our country in future? Like Indonesia? Vietnam? hmm...I have no idea...

ArgHHhhhhh.......start working tomorrow again. Hate it. Need to face those kind of people again. I've told my sis that I'm so regret to work there. I rather stand at the shopping complex rather than there. I'll quit soon. No worries. Now, what courses i should take up? Hospitality or tourism or nursing or education? If i want to take up education course, i have to wait till next year to apply training college or local U using my STPM result. I cant decide it now because i will change my mind soon.
